Community Day & Car Show
A family friendly event!

Before it became Shamong Day, our town tradition was Atsion Day, where folks gathered along the shores of Atsion lake to browse antique and flea market vendors. While the event has grown into a bigger, family-friendly celebration with food, live music, local artisans and businesses, a classic car show, games, and activities, that original charm is still here. Starting in 2025, partly due to new regulations and fees presented by the NJDEP, Shamong Day was held at Indian Mills Memorial School on Indian Mills Road in the center of Shamong. Then in fall 2026, the event moved again to just around the corner to Carla’s Classic Cars on Oak Shade Road. This new venue afforded easy access to the craft fair, more room for the car show contestants, and a lot more attendee parking with a convenient entrance from Indian Mills Road. In addition, guests will get to enjoy Carla’s incredible collection of vehicles and antiques!
This bigger, more engaging event helps to raise funds toward our current project- a new building that will serve as the society headquarters, a climate-controlled space to house local artifacts for display, and a community gathering space to be enjoyed by the public and other local organizations.
Shamong Day 2026 will be held on Saturday, 10/3/2026 with a rain date the following day. Vendors are asked to set up between 7:30 AM and 8:45 AM. Upon arrival, the vendor will be directed to a space where they can set up a 10′ x 10′ pavilion or table before parking their vehicle. The event is open to the general public from 9 AM until 4 PM. Those interested in becoming a craft or food truck vendor, car show participant, volunteer, entertainer, or those wishing to donate goods or services- please email us at indianmillshs@gmail.com.
